The Dundee Executive have arranged with the Liverpool Football Club to pay a visit to Dundee on Thursday night. This should be a very attractive fixture, as the Liverpool are to be at their full strength. The Liverpool men are all well known, and include George Allan (centre), Frank Becton (inside left), and Archie Goldie (right full back), who are all booked to play for Celtic next year. Allan is one of the finest centres in the country, and played for Scotland against England at the Crystal Palace recently. Becton is an Englishman, has played for his country in four international, while Goldie is one of the finest backs in the English League. This will in all likelihood be their last match for Liverpool. (Evening Telegraph, 26-04-1897)
