Wednesday, August 11 – 1897
Ned Doig and Hugh Wilson, the Sunderland Club players, were the recipients of silver tea and coffee services each on Wednesday night. The presents were made by several of the supporters of the Club as an acknowledgement of the loyal services to the Sunderland Club by the players named.
