Sir John Houlding, Mayor of Liverpool, who is now at Bordeaux, on Thursday afternoon visited the Mayor of that town. The interview was of a very cordial character, the conversation turning principally on topics interesting to Liverpool and Bordeaux. (London Standard, 15-04-1898)
