J. F. Halliday, the Chester club’s right full back, has signed a League form for the Liverpool Football Club for next season. The signature was obtained after the representatives of the Liverpool Club witnessed his display on Wednesday evening in a friendly match with the Liverpool League team at Chester. He is a young promising player and previous to his playing for Chester he was a member of the Chester P.S.A. team. (Liverpool Echo, 23-04-1898)
