The Sunderland League Club have purchased the football painting by Tom Hemy, representing the Cup tie between Aston Villa and Sunderland on February 10th, 1894, and also the artist’s 120 supplementary proofs. It is proposed to arrange a prize draw for the painting and prints for the benefit of the club. The annual meeting of the club will be held on June 29th.
