Maurice Parry transferred to Leicester Fosse

Saturday, July 16 – 1898
The announcement made in our columns on Saturday that Mr. Godfrey Beardsley, late of Loughborough Town, had thrown in his lot with the Leicester Fosse Club, has quickly been followed by the acquisition of another player in the person of Maurice Parry, of Oswestry, who, for the last three seasons, has figured as one of the reserves in the Welsh International team.

Parry is a typical player, and, commanding both height and weight, he should be of immense service to his new club. He stands 5ft. 11in., and in the early part of last season assisted Nottingham Forest, from whom his transfer has been obtained. He plays at either right or centre half back.
