High hopes for a successful season

Great hopes are being entertained at Liverpool, where they really believe they are going to make a stout bid for the championship. There is a feeling that the team that has been got together by Tom Watson and his fellow workers is just about good enough for anything. Liverpool have certainly made a good start. To beat The Wednesday by four goals to none would satisfy most people, and yet it is precisely what occurred in the corresponding contest last season.
