The Estate Committee of the Corporation, who are the landlords of the Leicester Club, have approved of the plans for the erection of a new stand. The structure, which will extend the whole length of one side of the ground, will give seating accommodation for 1,980 persons, and, if the standing room at the back be utilised, for an additional 600.
The present stand, which is capable of seating 980 persons, will be removed to the opposite side of the ground, and, together with the new erection, will provide sheltered accommodation for 3,560 patrons. This, together with other excellent facilities for witnessing the game, will make the ground one of the finest in England.
