George Allan, of the Liverpool Football Club, died at Elfie, Fifeshire, yesterday morning. Allan was a model centre-forward after being discovered and developed by Liverpool, and played for Scotland v. England two years ago. He afterwards joined Celtic for a season, bu returned to Liverpool 12 months ago, and was the pivot of the team which took Liverpool into the semi-finals of the English Cup, and also ran up for the League Championship.During the summer months Allan was taken seriously ill, and although a few weeks ago it was hoped he would recover, he died as stated.
