Sunderland, being thrown out of the Cup ties, were anxious to arrange their postponed match with Liverpool for February 23, and at Wednesday, at Preston, the president of the League had a conference with Messrs. John McKenna and Tom Watson, of the Liverpool club, and the date was agreed upon.
