Wednesday, March 19 – 1902
The following resolution was passed by the West Derby Guardians at their meeting to-day: –
“That this board desires to express its deep sympathy with the relatives of the late Alderman John Houlding, J.P., the oldest guardian of the West Derby Union, one who discharged his duties faithfully to the public and also to the poor, and to whose indefatigable and work the union owes its present position.”
