International boxing at Liverpool

An international boxing contest took place at the Liverpool Gymnasium Club last night, before a crowded house. Billy Barrett, of New York, meeting Dick Lee, London, in a twenty round match for £50 a-side, and a purse of £50 given by the club management. The match lasted the whole of the twenty rounds, and an excellent contest resulted in Lee gaining the award on points.
