Thursday, April 21 – 1904
It is officially announced that the West Ham United F.C. is surrendering its tenancy of the Memorial Grounds, Canning Town, at the end of this season. The club’s new home will be the Old Boleyn Castle Ground, close to Upton Park Station. The new ground and its appointments will be brought thoroughly up-to-date. An optional 21 years’ lease, at a small rent, has been secured.
