Yesterday the death took place at Glasgow from influenza of Bernard Battles, the well-known Scottish footballer. Barney Battles, who was 32 years of age, had at one time or other assisted the Liverpool, Glasgow Celtic, Heart of Midlothian, and Dundee clubs.
