Manchester City F.C.’s offices burgled

December 30, 1906
On Sunday night the offices of the Manchester City club on the ground at Hyde Road were broken into and a quantity of cigars and cigarettes, to the value of £3 10s., a number of caps and socks, which had been exchanged for old cones, and a musical instrument belonging to a reserve player, were carried away.

The office doors were broken open, and the windows of Mr. Harry Newbould’s private room were smashed, considerable damage having been done.
