* To-day marks the beginning of the time when players may be re-signed, and the anxieties of club officials greatly added to.
* The Everton v Liverpool football match drew an enormous crowd on Good Friday to Goodison Park. The actual number of spectators present was 47,429, and the gate receipts totalled £1,460.
