October 2 – 1908
On Friday afternoon negotiations were concluded between Aston Villa and Sheffield United for the transference of Peter Kyle and R. Evans to the latter club. Kyle will be remembered as the well-known Woolwich Arsenal forward, whilst Evans has played outside left for Wales on many occasions.
