Surprise was occasioned in Liverpool football circles yesterday when it was known that Mr. Edwin Berry had sent in his resignation as chairman of the Liverpool Football Club owing to business reasons.
Mr. Berry has occupied the position ever since the Liverpool club was reconstructed.
