A “Bhoy from Wexford”

Saturday, September 10 – 1910
William Lacey has a rare chance of showing his worth in first-class football this season. Born at Wexford twenty-one years ago, he has youth on his side, and should improve with experience. He is one of the hardest shots in the country, and when he gets on the target keepers may look out for squalls. There is more than one member of the staff at the Everton ground who has cause to remember the force this son of Erin’s Isle put behind the ball.
