Vincent Hayes transferred to Bradford

November 25, 1910
Yesterday afternoon Vincent Hayes, the Manchester United back, was transferred to the Bradford Second League club. Only recently it was stated that United had offered Hayes to their neighbours Manchester City.

Hayes has had a long association with Manchester United, and has been one of their most serviceable players. He was out of the game some time, having the misfortune to break his leg. Upon recovering he was with Brentford a season, and afterwards rejoined United.

Though he has not had a regular place in the League team this season, he is still a very capable player, and should be of great service to Bradford, where he will join an old colleague in James Turnbull at Park Avenue.

Hayes was one of the players who took part in the Football Association team’s tour in South Africa during last summer. He is a League international, having played against the Scottish League last season.
