Liverpool pay their first visit to Oldham under League auspices, and here another stern struggle is anticipated. The Liverpool team did so well last week that no change was anticipated, but it has been found necessary to play Bowyer at inside left instead of Ronald Orr, the ex-Newcastle man having sustained an injury in last week’s game.
The full team is: – Beeby; Longworth and Crawford; Robinson, Harrop, and McConnell; Goddard, Stewart, Parkinson, Bowyer, and Uren.
The team leave Tithebarn-street at 11.40, and the kick-off is timed for 2.30. Although the Athletic are a strong side on their own ground, I fancy Liverpool will escape defeat.
