The supporters of the Liverpool club will welcome Alf West back again to the first eleven of the Liverpool club, particularly if he has shown a glimpse of his true form to-day against Sheffield United.
West was a fine back when in his prime, but after he met with an accident in 1905 he fell off considerably. He did well in the Southern League last season, however, and there are those who believe that he will yet return to that form which served Liverpool so well in their championship year.
