Last night Mr. Bedford, a director of the Barnsley club, secured the signature of Mike Griffin, outside left, who was one of the mainstays of Hartlepool United Club last season. Griffin is regarded as a clever forward, and has seen service with Liverpool and Crystal Palace clubs. He is 24, stands 5ft. 9in., and weighs 11 ½st. Barnsley had to negotiate his League transfer from Liverpool.
