Stoke joint Hospital Board


September 4, 1912
The monthly meeting of this Board was held at the Workhouse on Wednesday. Mr. A.P. Miller presided, and there were present Messrs. J.H. Cunliffe Boardman, G.B. Haddon and T.H. Edwards. The medical Officer reported two patients only as being in hospital, and both would be discharged within one week.

Five applicants were interviewed for the position of engineer-caretaker at the Isolation Hospital at Yarnfield, and Louis Williams was appointed at 30s. per week with furnished house, coal and light. Williams is an old Stoke football and was formerly assistant resident engineer at the Stoke Workhouse.
