The thirty-third meetings of Everton and Liverpool in the League tourney provided the Goodison Park eleven with another victory. It is surprising how consistently Everton prevail over their rivals, and the records of their battles clearly point to their supremacy.
At Anfield seventeen games have been decided by these friendly rivals, with the result that Liverpool have only twice finished on the winning side. Everton, on the other hand, have eight victories to their credit, and seven games have been drawn.
In these fixtures Everton have scored 23 goals against 16. Liverpool have done better at Goodison Park, where they have been successful on four occasions.
