There is a boom in billiard matches in the city, and to-morrow night, at the Grove Hotel, Wallasey, a particularly interesting billiard match will be played on the new and beautiful tables at the home of the “Grove Knobs,” commencing at 7 p.m. Everton and Liverpool Football Club have chosen teams to face the Grove Social Club, and the match will be followed by a whist drive. With keen rivalry some admirable games should be witnessed. The teams are: Grove – J.Barlow, W.T.Bradshaw, W.J.Davidson, B.Dean, S.Dean, G.Cole, A.Finglas, D.W.Gilmore, T.Harrison, jun., N.R.Smith, J.Taafle, R.Twemlow.
Liverpool team. – Charlie Wilson, Arthur Goddard, Tom Gracie, William Lacey, Tom Miller, Sam Gilligan.
Everton side to be chosen.
