Liverpool have come comparatively well out of their holiday engagements for they have shared the maximum points with their opponents. The players have been located at Southport for a fortnight, and after the game with Bradford City next Thursday, they will journey north in readiness for their return League engagement with Sunderland.
Their two fixtures at Anfield have produced exceptionally good financial results, for over £900 was taken on Christmas Day, while the Rovers’ game exceeded this amount by £200. Considering that this was the third consecutive League match within three days decided in the Mersey city, the results must be taken as indicative of the great interest taken in football in Liverpool.
