The death of Joe McQue


Thursday, June 11 – 1914
After undergoing an operation at the Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow, Joseph McQue, a well-known Campsie man, succumbed at the age of 40 years.

In early life he played with the Campsie Black Watch, and afterwards with Campsie, and was one of the cup-winning team.

He then went to the Liverpool Club, where he played as half-back for a number of years.

He had been employed at Bonnybridge for the last thirteen years. He leaves a widow and one child.
