Liverpool fined five guineas

A meeting of the Football League Committee was held at Manchester on Friday, Mr. McKenna presiding. It was decided that clubs were not entitled to place an exorbitant transfer fee on the list, but that players should make all reasonable efforts to find a situation, and report the circumstances to the League.

Liverpool were fined five guineas for failing to apply to the League for consent to part in a Continental tour, and Bradford City are to be asked why they did not obtain permission. It was further decided that the Liverpool players could only be paid £5 per man for personal expenses; and that, in future, such expenses be limited to 5s. per day. (Manchester Courier,
