Wednesday, August 12 – 1914
PLACE OF REGISTRATION TRANSFERRED to the POLICE STATION, SEEL-STREET. All ALIENS residing in the City of Liverpool, who have NOT BEEN REGISTERED, must do so without delay.
NO GERMAN ALIEN will be ALLOWED to RESIDE in the CITY OF LIVERPOOL WITHOUT first having obtained a PERMIT from the POLICE, which can be obtained on registration; and will NOT be ALLOWED to TRAVEL more than FIVE MILES from his or her place of residence WITHOUT a PERMIT.
NO GERMAN ALIEN will be ALLOWED to KEEP any of the FOLLOWING ARTICLES WITHOUT a PERMIT from the POLICE: –
(a) Any Firearms, Ammunition, or Explosives.
(b) Any Petroleum Spirit, Naptha, Benzol, Petroleum, or other inflammable Liquid, in quantities exceeding three gallons.
(c) Any Apparatus or Contrivonce intended for or capable of being used for a signalling apparatus, either visual or otherwise.
(d) Any Carrier or Homing Pigeons.
(e) Any Motor-car, Motor-cycle, or Aircraft; or
(f) Any Cipher Code or other means of conducting secret correspondence.
All Aliens of any nationality must notify the Police of any proposed change of residence.
All Householders and Hotelkeepers are requested to give notice to the Police of the presence of an Alien of any nationality in their household.
Any Person not complying with these regulations will be liable to immediate arrest.
