Leeds footballer killed in action


Saturday, April 24 – 1915
News has been officially received from the War Office that Lieutenant Gerald Kirk, of the 5ft King’s Own Royal Lancaster Territorials, the amateur centre half-back, late of the Bradford and Leeds City football clubs, has been killed in action.

He was a native of Ingleton, but had lately been residing at Hazel Mount, Carnforth. He got his commission in January.
