Three of the leading members of the Bradford football team have joined the colours – Tommy Little, Jim Smith, and Jack McCandless.
The first named, an expert engineer and motor driver, has enlisted in the mechanical transport section of the Army Service Corps; Smith in the North Staffords; and McCandless in the Inniskilling Fusiliers.
