David Murray killed in action

News has been received in Liverpool of the death in action of an old Leeds City player, David Murray. At the outbreak of war Murray joined the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, and went through the Hill 70 and Loos engagements unseathed. Murray first played with Everton, and then went to Liverpool, from which club he was transferred to Leeds City, for whom he did useful service at full back about nine years ago.
