Liverpool to play South Liverpool at Dingle Park

April 24, 1918
The respective champions of the subsidiary competitions of the Lancashire League Section and Lancashire Combination meet at Dingle Park on Saturday, and both Liverpool and South Liverpool will be strongly represented.

The Anfield directors, as a compliment to their South-end friends, are putting out their strongest eleven, and they will be an enormous attraction at Dingle Park.

I guess the gate will be absolutely a record for the season, and enable the plucky “South” to clear out of debt.
