Race riots in Liverpool


June 16, 1919
A special Court was held in Liverpool yesterday to deal with cases arising out of the racial riots. Altogether 65 persons were charged.
Fourteen blacks charged with attempting to murder three policemen and rioting were remanded In other cases imprisonment or fines were imposed.
A hundred West Africans are to be taken home from Liverpool this week.
