During the past few days several more well-known players have been transferred. Two Manchester United men – Arthur Allman (full back) and Jimmy Hodge (full back or wing forward) – have gone to Millwall Athletic; William Banks, Liverpool’s inside forward, to Fulham, with whom he played on Saturday against Rotherham County; and Chris Duffy, the Bury forward of pre-war days, to Leicester City.
