A Royal Engineer between the sticks


Saturday, April 3 – 1920
Tom Armstrong, Liverpool’s reserve goalkeeper, is a Prestonian who served in the R.E.’s and was recommended to the Anfield club by their famous winger, Jack Sheldon. He signed an amateur form in January, and recently made his League debut at Hillsborough. Though still in the rough he promises well and is of fine physique.
