In Jack Sheldon’s place at outside right Liverpool tried Dick Forshaw against Bolton Wanderers, but it was not a happy move. Forshaw is a Widnes man, and inside right is the only position in which he has shown to advantage. Reared on Tyneside, he assisted Gateshead St. Vincent before the war, and served four years in Ceylon with the Royal Garrison Artillery.
