There has been a statement issued that Liverpool are in search of a centre-forward and have approached Glasgow Celtic with a view to securing Thomas McInally. Our Liverpool correspondent refutes the story, and says that while it is true that Liverpool would like a certain Scottish pivot, it is certainly untrue that they have ever thought of McInally.
