Tuesday, March 14 – 1922
Thomas Capper, Southend United’s goalkeeper, was summoned at Southend on Tuesday for furiously driving a horse and cart in London Road, Leigh. – He said the horse shied at a piece of paper, broke into a canter, and he was afraid to pull the horse in too quickly. – The case was dismissed.
