Charles Pearson transferred to Derby County

August 9, 1924
Charles Pearson, who played for Liverpool, has signed on by Derby County, and there is no wonder that the latter club think that they have got a capture when it is made known that Pearson, when playing for the Merseyside clubs was a success, first as a goalkeeper, and later as an outside-left. Such a change is unusual, but it is always an asset to be able to take up more than one position on the field. Pearson is only 24 years of age, and he has been with Liverpool for two and half years, though mostly with the second string.
