The signing of Dave Wright

April 17, 1926
The following is a tale told about the signing of Dave Wright by Cowdenbeath. Hearing that Hearts and Glasgow Rangers were hot on the trail, a party from Central Park got up before the lark, motored to Wright’s address in Kirkcaldy, wakened him up, whisked him off to Methill, and fixed him up. East Fife received £1,000, and Wright got a right good solatium.
