A good story is going the rounds of Elisha Scott, Liverpool’s Irish international goalkeeper. On the day of the round three Cup-ties Scott was keeping goal for Liverpool Reserves against Everton Reserves.
As half-time neared Scott was so excited watching the score-board that would announce the progress of the Cup-ties that he clean forgot he himself was playing.
The result, which I will not vouch for, was that he had to pick the ball from the back of the net!
