John Marshall, the centre-forward of Stoneywood was yesterday signed on by Liverpool. Marshall was capped for Junior Scotland against Ireland and England this season, and has figured in several representatives games for the Aberdeenshire Junior FA.
Ten days ago, while playing in a local cup-tie, in which he sustained an injured ankle, Marshall was watched by Liverpool representatives, who confirmed a previous good impression of his capabilities. His injury turned out not to be so serious as was at first thought, and, satisfied as to his fitness, the English club carried out the deal yesterday forenoon.
