“We wish to make it clear that our second trip to Britain is not being undertaken for any financial gain, but because we are happy to have the chance of learning football art right on the spot,” Herr Robert Lang, manager of F.C. Austria, said before the team left for England.
Herr Lang guarantees on thing. The team will play their hardest, but they will never make a “scene.”
“We would rather lose the match than lose the sympathy of the spectators,” he said.
Matches will be played against Liverpool on November 28, Fulham on December 3, Birmingham on December 5, Sheffield Wednesday on December 10, and Stoke City on December 13.
