Jack Balmer, Collegiate Old Boys’ 19-year-old centre forward, has signed for Liverpool as an amateur. He is a nephew of the famous Balmer brothers who played for Everton a few years ago. Balmer himself was on Everton’s books two years ago.
Weighing 12st., Balmer was the leading scorer in the I. Zingari League last season, and in addition to playing for both Liverpool County and Lancashire County he took part in the Amateur International trial at Wimbledon two seasons ago.
