Jimmy McMullan was in the running for the Liverpool manager job

Jimmy McMullan was well in the running for the managerial job at Liverpool. The directors eventually decided on George Kay, of Southampton. Latest vacancy is at Leicester. McMullan is not yet fixed up. He is a nice little chap, and deserves a good position. (Daily Express, 21-09-1936)
