The England team to meet Wales in the amateur international match at Portsmouth next Saturday was selected after the trial match at Reading last Saturday, in which the North beat the South by three goals to one.
T.H. Leek (Moor Green) has been chosen as a reserve. The England side will line up as follows: –
H.S. Lodge (Stockton); H. Mitton (Bishop Auckland), G.S. Burchell (Romford); J.W. Lewis (Walthamstow Avenue, captain), E. Tunnington (Lloyd’s Bank), J.G. Shield (Bishop Auckland), W. Parr (Blackpool), J. Sowersby (Ipswich Town), R.J. Matthews (Walthamstow Avenue), L.C. Thornton (Derbyshire Amateurs), F. Riley (The Casuals).
Reserves: T.H. Leek (Moor Green) and M. Edelston (London University).
