“The position is intolerable,” said Mr. Charles Sutcliffe, president of Lancashire Football Association, yesterday, referring to the Football Association’s decision that women can be registered as secretaries of football clubs. The matter has arisen through Mrs. Haworth of Preston Old Road, Blackpool, being secretary of the Wrens Junior Football Club, and Mr. Sutcliffe has intimated that the Lancashire Association will not recognise her. She will not be allowed to represent her club or to appear for players at association meetings.
