The Liverpool directors at their meeting lat night deferred the selection of their team to meet Huddersfield Town in the fifth round F.A. Cup-tie at Anfield on Saturday until later in the week.
Mr. George Kay, the Liverpool manager, is awaiting a definite report on the fitness of Jim Harley, the Scottish left back, who is suffering from a pulled thigh muscle. Harley’s leg is bandaged but he is making good progress. He will have a try-out later in the week.
Harry Eastham, the inside forward, who was injured in the cup replay against Sheffield United, is also going along splendidly, although it is impossible for him to play for some time. His knee is in plaster.
